There’s been no certainty about where Mississippi State will land for its bowl game. Things have changed very, very quickly. It was at one time thought Mississippi State would end up either in Las Vegas or the Dallas-Fort Worth area for a bowl game.
Well, things changed. ESPN’s Brett McMurphy is reporting that the Bulldogs will be in St. Petersburg, Florida for the St. Petersburg Bowl.

Of course, this game is played a few days later than the Las Vegas Bowl, giving the Bulldogs a fuller allotment of practices. The downside? It’s the day after Christmas at 10 am central time.

The upside to that is CHRISTMAS IN TAMPA FOR EVERYBODY IN MAROON AND WHITE. DOLPHINS AND SAND CASTLES AND TROPICAL HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS FOR EVERYBODY. Or not. You know, you do you.
