Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Nicholls State Colonels: Baseball Open Thread

Mississippi State takes on Nicholls State as part of a Sunday doubleheader for the Colonels at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville.

The Bulldogs (5-2) knocked off Nicholls State (4-3) behind the strength of Mississippi State starter Austin Sexon's complete game three hitter. Sexton also struck out eleven Colonels in the 5-0 win.

Earlier in the day, Mississippi State defeated UMass Lowell for the second time in the weekend, defeating the River Hawks 4-2.

The Bulldogs and Colonels square off at 3:30pm.
