Update 16: 2:35 PM
3-Star John Michael Hankerson has officially joined the class after signing his NLI. Hankerson was originally fro Starkville, but moved to ND territory while in HS. He has the kind of potential you love to see when it comes to adding depth in the secondary. This all but wraps up the class of 2016 for the Bulldogs, and the final recap will be live later tonight!
Update 15: 2:15 PM
5-Star Derrick Brown has committed to Auburn.
Update 14: 12:50 PM
We now know why Hankerson is yet to submit his NLi, but it still doesn't make much sense. Barring a shocker in the event of 5-Star DT Derrick Brown picking the Bulldogs, Hankerson is the final piece of the Class of 2016. Look for a post tonight detailing and recapping the full class, and tomorrow look for a first look at the 2017 Class, including an IMPRESSIVE QB committed.

Update 13: 11:40 AM
Jeffery Simmons has announced his commitment to Mississippi State. This is a HUGE get for this staff, and more to come on this shortly! After losing out on some of the best players in the state, being able to hold strong and land the top player in the state of Mississippi. Simmons will have big shoes to fill with the departure of Chris Jones to the NFL, but Simmons has the potential to do that and much, much more.
Update 12: 11:00 AM
Still waiting for the final NLI of our last commit, John Michael Hankerson. 5-Star DE Jeffery Simmons is set to announce in moments.. keep it here for the latest.
Update 11: 10:10 AM
Number 1 JuCo TE Jordan Thomas is offically a Bulldog! Thomas has the chance to come in and make a significant impact from day one, especially as this offense moves on from the Dak Prescott era.
Update 10: 10:00 AM
Recently committed DT Kobe Jones has signed his NLI and is officially a Bulldog. Following the recent recruiting losses, this is a big-time recruiting win that was much needed.
Update 9: 9:48 AM
DE Marquiss Spencer has signed with Mississippi State. Spencer, a highly-touted DE from in-state Greenwood HS, is one of the crucial pieces of the class.
Update 8: 9:40 AM
DB Nero Nelson has officially signed and is a member of the 2016 Class. Nelson is thought of as an ATH by most recruiting services, yet it appears he is set to play DB in StarkVegas.
Update 7: 9:30 AM
While there is a slight lull in the action, and hearts are broken over the loss of WR A.J. Brown to Ole Miss; here's some information that may add a little more salt to the wound.
A.J. Brown said he didn't feel wanted by MSU's coaches. "I would have thought with me being a hometown guy they'd be here everyday." /ducks— Robbie Faulk (@robbiefaulk247) February 3, 2016
Update 6: 9:25 AM
After giving Bulldog fans a glimmer of hope this morning, Nigel Knott has signed with Alabama. Doesn't make it hurt any less after this tweet this morning:
Mississippi State University was the first school to offer me and the only school that continued to recruit me pass my commitment.— Nigel Knott© (@nigelk09) February 3, 2016
Update 5: 9:00 AM
4-Star DT Kobe Jones has officially committed to the Bulldogs. Going with this news, however is the fact that A.J. Brown has committed to Ole Miss. No Letters of Intent are in yet for either, but Jones is a big get for Coach Mullen and this staff. more on him later in our class breakdown.

Update 4: 8:40 AM
Stewart Reese is officially a Bulldog. Reese was a huge pickup out of the state of Florida, and his massive size is going to help this offensive line tremendously.
Update 3: 8:25 AM
Erroll Thompson has officially signed. Thompson is a Bulldog legacy, and a big get from the state of Alabama.
Update 2: 8:00 AM
DB Cameron Dantzler, OL Greg Eiland, and OL Dareuan Parker have all submitted their NLI. I am anxiousto see Dantzler get on campus. Offensive line was a clear need this year, and this class has plenty of it.
Update 1: 7:30 AM
The first two National Letters of Intent are in, as Jamal Couch, a 3-Star ATH from Central HS in Phenix City, AL and 3-Star Korey Charles from North Florida Christian in Tallahassee, FL. Both have signed their NLI. Welcome to Starkville y'all!
Good Morning, I would like to personally introduce y'all to our coverage of Mississippi State's 2016 National Signing Day today. If you weren't able to get off work, or just won't be able to follow all the happenings from the day, I have got some good news for you: We will be tracking every update, NLI fax, surprises, and disappointments all day, and all you will have to do to keep up is hit refresh and the latest news will appear above in reverse order. Each update will have a time attached to it (Central Time of course) and will of course be completely free all day.
This has the chance to be a special finish for the Class of 2016, with several key targets remaining undecided. Later in the evening, when the dust settles, and the cowbells go silent, look for a much deeper look at the class, as well as who has the chance to contribute from the moment they step on campus.
#HailState and happy National Signing Day!
