Dan Mullen set out to raise $36,000 by running in the Boston Marathon. He was running to raise money for underprivileged youth in Mississippi get access to healthcare, fine arts and athletics programs, and scholarships under the Mullen 36 Family Foundation. Well, as it turns out, after he completed the 26.2 mile race in just under four and a half hours, Mullen had exceeded his fundraising goal and raised $40,000.
