Help For Whom The Cowbell Tolls Grow!

Do you love Mississippi State? Can you write stuff? Do you like the internet? We might have a spot for you.

Spruce Derden-USA TODAY Sports

Hi there. How's it going? My name is Ethan Lee, many of you are probably already familiar with some of my work. For those that have no clue who I am, I'm a Mississippi State student who is planning on maybe someday hopefully graduating eventually. Who knows what I'll do afterwards.

In terms of this site, I've been writing for this wonderful blog for a bit over a year now. Charlie Burris brought me on to help extend coverage for softball and baseball games, and since then I've pretty much just been having fun covering just about anything and everything.

As many of you probably already know, Justin Sutton stepped down and I have been hired to be the site's new managing editor. I'll forever be grateful for all of the leadership and advice that Justin has shown this past year that I've been writing for him. It's been a pleasure and I'm glad I've been given the chance to be the next guy chosen to help For Whom The Cowbell Tolls grow.

Hey Ethan, what's the point of this article? Justin already wrote something announcing the change you dork!

Good point, random audience member. The point of this article is this: we need you help to continue to grow. We want to provide the best and most complete coverage of Mississippi State University athletics, and to do that, we need some more hands to help out.

Right now, we're looking for talented individuals that love Mississippi State and are interested in expanding our coverage and content in new and exciting ways. The positions we want to add are listed below, and while of course there will be flexibility in the roles, these are the biggest needs that we have at the moment.

  • Football Recruiting
  • Volleyball
  • Track and Field and Cross Country
  • Men's and Women's Golf

As you can see, we have some pretty big plans to expand our coverage and are always looking for new ways to develop the best Mississippi State content out there. If you're interested in one (or more) of these positions, or have your own in mind that I haven't thought of, please email your resume to forwhomthecowbelltolls@gmail.com

I'm excited to see how we can cultivate this wonderful community of ours. There won't be any awful or drastic changes around the site (if there are please don't run me out of town on a rail covered in tar and feathers) but we do hope to improve our craft to make this blog the best that it can be. There's a lot of potential here. I'm hoping you'll help us realize it.
