Mississippi State Earns No. 6 National Seed

For the first time ever, Mississippi State baseball has been selected to be a national seed in the NCAA Tournament.

It was announced last night that Mississippi State would be hosting a regional in the NCAA Tournament for the 13th time. This morning, the full bracket was released, and in addition, it was announced that for the first time in program history, Mississippi State will be a national seed. State is one of four SEC national seeds, which is the most in conference history.

These are the national seeds:

  1. Florida
  2. Louisville
  3. Miami
  4. Texas A&M
  5. Texas Tech
  6. Mississippi State
  7. Clemson
  8. LSU

MSU is the 6th national seed and is paired with UL Lafayette for a possible super regional matchup. Here is what the Starkville regional looks like:
