The Mississippi State Bulldogs Soccer Team looked great Sunday morning as the Bulldogs were so close to defeating a team that went to the NCAA Tournament last year. Virginia Tech scored 2 goals in the final 1 minute and 30 seconds to secure the 2-1 Victory.
MSU and VT were scoreless through halftime. Mississippi State struck first in the 81st minute with a goal by MaKayla Waldner. Virginia Tech used a penalty kick to tie the game in the 88th minute and a free kick in the 89th minute to take the lead. Mississippi State had a great weekend in Charleston going 1-1 after Friday’s road win against the College of Charleston. The Bulldogs went toe to toe with the 17th ranked team. That should be very comforting and expect great things from the soccer team this season.
The Bulldogs will host their first home game Friday August 26th at 7pm ct against Lipscomb. Admission is free to all home Bulldog Soccer games. So come to some games this season to support the Soccer Team!
