POLL: How may wins will you be happy with in the 2016 Mississippi State football season without a win in the Egg Bowl?

Most people are projecting the Bulldogs to get back to a bowl for the seventh straight season, but those same people think it will be done without bringing the Golden Egg back to Starkville.

Dan Mullen will enter the 2016 football season with something he has never had to deal with as the head coach of the Bulldogs. It’s something every Bulldog fan hates to see.

A losing streak in the Egg Bowl.

After the Rebels beat the Bulldogs in Starkville in 2015, it was the first time Mississippi State had lost in consecutive years to the Rebels since the 2002 through 2004 seasons.

But that is all in the past. The Bulldogs open their season against the South Alabama Jaguars this Saturday. It’s a long nearly three month wait until the next Egg Bowl.

But that hasn’t stopped people from talking about it already. While a lot of people are thinking the Bulldogs can have some success in 2016, it doesn’t appear many think they can have that success with a win over the Rebels.

So today’s question is simply about how we will view the season if we still go to a bowl but don’t beat Ole Miss. There is nothing to say that the Bulldogs can’t beat Ole Miss in 2016, but let’s just assume everyone is right and we don’t. Is there a number of wins the Bulldogs can reach and you still be happy without a win over Ole Miss, or must we win in Oxford for you to be happy?
