Hello, Computer. How’s the Internet Today?

Before you get in your obligatory half hour of zoning out at your desk, take a short stroll through some of the MSU-related and maybe-not-so-MSU related miscellany that the internet has to offer.

Hello Computer Croom

Morning Linkage:

MISSISSIPPI STATE IS UNBEATEN IN SEC PLAY- The Bulldogs took down South Carolina on Saturday, and now they’re leading the SEC West in the race to Atlanta, technically. We’re better than your team. Unless your team is South Alabama.

Do not @ me.

LSU will be wearing fancy clothes against Mississippi State- The Tigers are bringing back some pretty cool (to most people) uniforms. The color scheme looks off to me between the helmets and the shirt. I mean, the color kinda looks like urine if you’ve been out hiking for too long in New Mexico and haven’t had enough water to drink. Don’t ask me how I know what that color looks like.

Again, do not @ me.

Oh, in men’s basketball news, Ben Howland earned a commitment from Nick Weatherspoon- Nick is the younger brother of the emerging Mississippi State star that is Quinndary Weatherspoon. And there’s some thought that Nick might be able to develop more than Quinndary can. And that’s exciting.

In the big win over South Carolina, Dan Mullen gave us a pleasant surprise- He found one quarterback. He decided to stick with him. Yeah, Damian Williams is more consistent, but Nick Fitzgerald looked a little bit like an early version of Dak Prescott. And Fitzgerald broke school rushing records. That was fun.

ARKANSAS BLOCKED A KICK AND BEAT TCU IN OVERTIME

This game was stupid exciting. If you haven’t seen it yet, go watch it now.

Oh, and Arkansas fans, don’t forget this great moment in blocked field goals

The chants starting at 10 seconds to block the kick. The fans fighting in the stands. Taveze Calhoun running around excited. This is magnificent.

Don’t @ me, Arkansas

Tuesday’s tunes

Meet Walk off the Earth. They’re an odd group. They’re eccentric. They’re a group of very talented musicians that are very innovative in how they make music and how they cover other songs. You won’t find too many groups like them. And I’m giving you two songs to listen to today. You’re welcome.
