What to Watch For
Mia Davidson:
Davidson has been consistent all year at the plate and that will only continue against the Rebels. The Braves had no answer for her, as Davidson was on fire at the plate. While Ole Miss is sure to throw the kitchen sink at her, look for Davidson to figure out the Rebels’ plan and take over the game.
Carmen Carter:
Carter is a leader with a feel for the game. The senior outfielder is has been a force with both her bat and glove throughout her four years in Starkville. Carter will put on a show and tear the Rebels apart. She is the face of this team and has shown no signs of slowing down.
Prediction
While Ole Miss is not ranked, they will be a tough opponent. That said, Mississippi State is simply better and will be too much for the Rebels to handle. With Carter and Davidson leading the way, Mississippi State will sweep Ole Miss and take the series with ease. In addition, look for Holly Ward to have one of, if not her best outing on the mound.
