STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Southeastern Conference released the 2021 football schedules for all 14 league teams Wednesday afternoon during a special announcement show on SEC Network.
Each SEC team will play eight conference games and four nonconference games with one open date for each team. Schedules include six games against division opponents and two games against cross-divisional opponents.
Mississippi State will play seven home games, including visits from Louisiana Tech, NC State, LSU, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee State and Ole Miss.
The Bulldogs’ road games include trips to Memphis, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Auburn.
Mississippi State will open its 122nd season and its second season under head coach Mike Leach against Louisiana Tech on Sept. 4 at Davis Wade Stadium.
