Hofstra baseball team plays human version of computer game 'snake' during rain delay

Recent rains have postponed and cancelled games all over the country, so it's always fun when you see teams have some fun and make the best of mother nature's interruptions.

Sure, this isn't Mississippi State sports related. But with the Bulldogs' Friday series opener delayed due to rain itself, I thought this post was fairly on-topic.

Hofstra, who MSU was set to play to open this year's baseball schedule before snow kept them from making the trip, traveled to Maryland for a weekend series against Towson, but as was the case in many places last night, mother nature threw a wrench in plans to play the Friday game.

The two teams would ultimately move their Friday game to Saturday, and from the looks of the rain delay video, they haven't had much more luck today with the weather (at least I think the video is from this morning's scheduled 9 a.m. game). Funny baseball rain delay videos are nothing new, but this is the first time I remember seeing a team play the game snake - you remember, the one you used to play on your Nokia during Algebra - except with humans and on the baseball field.

Well done, Hofstra. Now who's going to become the first team to play the classic DOS game Gorillas?!
