Mississippi State moves down 4 spots to 15 in the latest BCS Standings

After Saturday's loss to #1 Alabama, Mississippi State fell 4 spots to 15 in Sunday's latest update to the 2012 BCS standings.

After Saturday night's disappointing loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Bulldogs took a bit of a tumble in the latest BCS standings, but not as far as you might think.

Mississippi State came in at 15 in week 10's updated BCS standings, updated this evening.

Frankly, that's not a bad fall at all, and goes to show how much respect the computers give to Alabama. The Bulldogs still sit in a solid position to finish out the season strong, maybe even near or in the top 10, depending on how they finish down the stretch.

The top 10 of the BCS looks as follows:

  1. Alabama
  2. Kansas State
  3. Notre Dame
  4. Oregon
  5. LSU
  6. Georgia
  7. Florida
  8. South Carolina
  9. Florida State
  10. Louisville

The Bulldogs next two opponents come in at 16th and 5th in the BCS standings, with LSU's position likely to adjust either up or down depending on their outcome against Alabama this weekend.
