It's time for the final football simulation of the regular season. The Bulldogs are going for their fourth straight Egg Bowl victory and if the anticipation of the big game is really getting to you, consider this an appetizer before the main course.

First Quarter:

Ole Miss won the toss and decide to kick off first. Jameon Lewis catches the kick off at the two yard line and manages to return it to the thirty-eight yard line. Tyler Russell and the rest of the Bulldog offense trot on to the field and on first down the ball is thrown to Chris Smith. The pass is caught and is good enough to move the chains. The ball is now at the fifty yard line. Tyler Russell fakes a hand off and decides to run it himself...hes got a lot of room to run and the quarterback easily picks up another first down. On the next play Russell goes to the air again...this time it's Jameon Lewis that makes the catch...the play picked up seven yards. On second and three Russell fires another pass off...he's got a receiver...I think it's Chad Bumphis...unfortunately the pass is dropped and now its third and three. It's going to be a running play this time...the ball is fed to LaDarius Perkins and the Rebel defense is all over it...he's stopped well short of a first down. However, there is a flag on the play. Off sides on the Rebels and suddenly the Bulldogs have a first down. The next play is a short pass to Perkins for a five yard gain. On second down Russell fakes a hand off and decides to run it himself...he gets the first down and now its first and goal for Mississippi State. Russell drops back to pass...he can't find a soul to throw to and scrambles forward for about one yard. On second down the ball is given to Perkins again...the back goes no where on the ground and it's now third and goal. Russell drops back to pass...he's got blue jerseys in his face way too soon and the Rebels sack him for a big loss on the play. Mississippi State is forced to kick a field goal. State now leads it 3-0.

Donte Moncrief is set to return the kick off...the ball is fielded at the one and Moncrief gets a good return. Ole Miss will begin their first drive on the 36 yard line. Bo Wallace hands the ball off to Jeff Scott and the back plows forward for an eight yard gain. On second down Wallace is set up to pass...he finds Vince Sanders wide open...Sanders completes the catch and is finally tackled at the MSU 41 yard line. Wallace drops back to pass on first down...he finds an open Donte Moncrief sprinting along the side line...the ball is caught and Moncrief strolls into the end zone for the first touchdown of the game. Ole Miss now on top 7-3.

Mississippi State fields the kick off in the end zone...the return is good for twenty-seven yards. On first down Tyler Russell can't find anyone to throw to...he finally tucks it and scrambles for a four yard gain. On second and six Russell is again forced to scramble...he gets one yard. It's now third and seven and the Rebel fans are getting loud. The ball is given to Perkins and the running back is stopped two yards short of a first down. Bulldogs punt the ball away.

Ole Miss begins their next drive at the twenty five. Wallace drops back to pass and fires a quick pass to Jeff Scott for a first down. The Rebels keep it on the ground the next play and this time Scott is dropped for a loss. On second down Wallace again drops back to pass...unfortunately for him the Bulldog defense is blitzing and Kaleb Eulls is there to drive him into the turf. The sack now has Ole Miss in a third and nineteen situation. Wallace completes a pass but the positive play is still eight yards short of a first down. Rebels punt the ball back.

Bulldogs take over at the thirty three yard line. On first down Russell hands the ball to Perkins...he is met immediately by the Rebel defensive line and there is no gain on the play. On second down Russell completes a short four yard pass to Jameon Lewis. The first quarter expires with MSU trailing 7-3.

Second Quarter:

The Bulldogs are in a third and six situation. Once again the Rebel fan's are getting loud. Russell takes the snap and then fakes a hand off to Perkins...he steps forward and throws a pretty pass straight into the arms of Chris Smith. Smith is finally tackled at the Rebel 22 yard line. For whatever reason, Tyler Russell again tries to run the ball and once again it does not work. Bulldogs lose three yards on the play. On second down the ball is given to Perkins...unfortunately the Rebel defense is all over it...another three yard loss. It's now third and sixteen and the Bulldogs desperately need a positive play to get a decent shot at a field goal here. Tyler Russell tries to throw a deep pass to the end zone...Jameon Lewis is open...unfortunately Russell's pass was overthrown and the pass is incomplete. Bulldogs try the long field goal...and it's good. Bulldogs trim their deficit and the score is now 7-6.

Jaylen Walton is set to return the kick this time...he's tackled hard at the 24 yard line. Bo Wallace drops back to pass...the receivers are well-covered and this time he's forced to scramble...he's hit hard by an MSU O-lineman and the ball is knocked loose! Mississippi State recovers the loose ball deep in Ole Miss territory!

Russell and the Bulldogs have the ball just inside the Rebel 20. The ball is handed off to Perkins and the back rumbles forward for a six yard gain. On second and four Russell drops back to pass....he's looking....still looking...can't find anyone and starts to scramble...the Rebels are after him and now he is the one fumbling the ball! Carlton Martin is there to scoop up the loose ball and all 300 pounds of him is going to take it to the house. The Rebel defense suddenly shock the Bulldog offense and the score is now 14-3.

After the touchback, the Bulldog offense will begin the drive at their 25 yard line. The first play is a run by Perkins that goes no where. On second and ten Russell goes to the air...he can't find anyone open is sacked for a three yard loss. On third and long the Bulldogs go to the air again and this time the ball is caught for a big gain! The Bulldogs are now at their own 41 yard line. Russell is trying an option play here...he pitches the ball to Perkins and the damn thing is caught by a Rebel defender! Bulldogs punt the ball aw-- aww hell...it's a fake...Baker Swedenberg holds the ball and prepares to pass....he holds it some more...he holds it some more...I kid you not, he's held the damn thing almost ten seconds now...finally a Rebel defender gets lose and hits the poor kicker just as he throws the ball. The pass is incomplete and the Rebels will begin their next drive at the MSU 49.

After a long absence, Bo Wallace finally returns to the field with the Rebel offense. The first play is a pass to Ja-Mes Logan for an immediate first down. The ball is given to Perkins on first down and the back plows forward for a nine yard gain. The Rebels kicked off to begin the game so they'll get it to start the second half. Bo Wallace leads his team out to begin the second half at the 25 yard line. The first play is going to be a pass and its caught..out of bounds. On second down the ball is thrown and caught again for a two yard gain. On third and eight Wallace goes to the air yet again...the ball is caught and is good for a first down but the receiver appeared to have a toe out of bounds when he caught it. As expected there is a booth review and the call on the field is over turned...Rebels will be forced to punt.

Bulldogs will begin their first drive of the half at the 41. Russell throws a bullet to Chad Bumphis good for a six yard gain. On second down the ball is handed off and the back gets enough for a first down and more. Bulldogs now in Ole Miss territory. On second down the ball is given to Scott...the running back picks up a couple of yards on the carry. On third and eight Wallace completes a short pass to Scott and the back gets just enough for the first down. With the fresh set of downs, Wallace hands the ball off to Scott again...this time the Bulldogs are ready and the back is brought down for a loss on the play. On second and eleven Wallace is forced to just get rid of it again. It's now third and eleven. Wallace drops back to pass...he's nearly sacked not once, but twice...he somehow escapes and completes a pass. The play is six yards short of a first down and the Rebels punt.

After the punt is fielded the Bulldogs will take over at the 28 yard line. Tyler Russell hands the ball to Perkins and he dances his way to a first down. Perkins gets it again on the next play but this time it's a two yard loss. Russell is sacked on second down and suddenly its third and seventeen. Russell fires a pass and is nearly picked off. Bulldogs punt the ball.

The Rebels will begin their next drive at the 30. The ball is given to Scott again...he runs into a wall of State defenders...after an abrupt stop, the Bulldogs fail to tackle him and he somehow gets around them to escape for a first down. Rebels now at midfield. Wallace tries some sort of trick play that fails in a big way. Rebels lose nine yards. Wallace goes to the air on second down but the pass is broken up. It's now third and nineteen. Wallace throws a deep ball and the pass is caught for a huge first down....Rebels now at the MSU twenty. On third down Perkins gets it again...this time he picks up enough for the first to keep the drive alive. Another play...another run...two yard gain this time. Russell tries to take it on the ground himself this time and picks up a few more...its now third and three. Russell fakes a hand off to Bumphis and keeps it himself...he scrambles ahead and is finally brought down at the Rebel 40. Russell keeps it again for a three yard gain. On second down Russell again scrambles and again picks up a first down. All the hits Russell was taking seem to have finally taken a toll...he's down and seems to be hurt. It must now have been too back because he's still in the game on the next play. With the ball at the Rebel 28 and less than three minutes to play, the Bulldogs need a big play. Russell hands it to Perkins and the back gets exactly ten yards and a fresh set of downs. Russell has all day to throw on the next play...he finally fires toward the end zone but the pass is broken up. He's hit again as he throws and this time he's not getting up. Dak Prescott enters the game now. On second down the defense puts pressure on Prescott and he's forced to throw early...incomplete pass. The ball is given to Perkins on third down and the back is denied a first down. MSU has to settle for another field goal...they are now in a one possession game again but time is not on their side. The score is now 27-19.

All the hits beginning to take a toll on Tyler Russell

MSU lines up for the on side kick...and they fail. Rebels have it at the 39 yard line. Rebels start to work the clock and begin running the ball. MSU responds by burning time outs. Its now third and four...Wallace is forced to throw the ball away and now the Rebels line up for a long field goal. They get it and all but seal the victory. The score is now 30-19.

Russell is back in the game and their first series of plays results in a first down. Any momentum they may have had is promptly extinguished with a false start. After a couple of short passes and an incompletion, State will go for it on fourth and twelve. Russell throws a deep ball and is way off target...turnover on downs.

On their next possession, Ole Miss takes a knee to end the game.
