The Bulldogs and Tigers both are looking to get things back on track after huge losses last Saturday. State is in the midst of a two game losing streak, after starting the season 7-0, while LSU is reeling from a tough, tough home defeat last night to Alabama, 21-17. Rest assured that the Tigers will be more than ready to play when State comes to town this weekend.

The Tigers and Bulldogs are set to kick off at 6pm and will play on ESPN, we learned earlier this afternoon. This will be MSU's third straight game on the WWL's flagship channel.

As for the line, well this frankly is lower than I expected. State was a 24 point dog to Alabama in Tuscaloosa two weeks ago, and a 7 point dog to Texas A&M last week at home. My guess is that Vegas thinks LSU will still be hung over, so to speak, from the Alabama loss still, and may play sluggish against the Bulldogs. My guess, however, is that LSU will come out angry and looking to rebound against the maroon and white, who are trying to right their ship as well.

[UPDATE - Nov 6, 2012]

Less than 48 hours since it opened, the line for this game has already moved down to 14.5 in LSU's favor, down from the original 17. I didn't expect that, honestly. Looks like betters are taking MSU to make this a close game.

Also, I missed on this originally on Sunday, but the over/under has been set at 44.5. Anyone taking the over there? I might, depending on which MSU offense shows up, the early season one or the Texas A&M game one.
