For Whom the Links Toll | April 10, 2012

There isn't a TON of links today, but there are a few I'll share with ya.

BASKETBALL

NO THERE ARE NO BASKETBALL LINKS I REFUSE TO SHARE ANY WITH YOU BASKETBALL DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE.

Okay, that's not true at all.

State did finally round out its' coaching staff with the hiring of Chris Hollendar of Evansville. If you didn't see it yesterday, you might want to check out robnoladog's graphic showing just how much of the basketball team is gone now (edit: there are two more faces to cross out since that picture was created YESTERDAY MORNING). Also, it seems that Stansbury apologists have come out of the woodwork to take the opportunity to say that all of the basketball program's current issues are because we fired Stansbury. And I was like, LOL WUT? Also yesterday there was a great comparison of the MSU program in its current form to that of the 2008 Indiana program. tbradenbishop also took some time out of his day collecting many leather bound books to share with you his "Fab Five" for Mississippi State. Also, Brandon Marcello talks about the rebuilding project that began yesterday officially at Mississippi State.

Bonus: Croom Diaries begins his countdown of the Top 10 moments as a Bulldog fan. #10 today was the Johnthan Banks pick 6 vs. Florida.

FOOTBALL

Football links today are basically just a lot of talk about where Fletcher Cox could get drafted. I'm excited for Fletcher, as it seems that his potential draft placement only goes higher and higher as the draft nears. Scout has a profile on Fletcher, and talks about his visit Monday with the Rams (who draft @ #6). Our mothership, SBNation, is conducting a mock draft, and in a version of it, the Chicago Bears selected Cox at #16 overall. Could Fletcher go @ #7 to the Jags? CBS Sports says it's a definite MAYBE. A scouting report on Fletcher from the New York Times (reads that headline in a pompus voice while sipping tea with my pinky pointed outwards). Last but not least, the Dallas news talks about the chance that the Cowboys take Fletcher at #14.

Non Fletcher news! Paul Jones profiles Shane McCardell ($)

BASEBALL

State will host South Alabama this evening at The Dude. Also, Daryl Norris, returning from injury this past weekend, was named player of the day by SEbaseball.com for his Sunday heroics against Vandy.

NON-REVENUE SPORTS

A little late, but congrats to the tennis dogs on claiming their second straight SEC west crown! Per doing big things at the Pitts Centre. Last but not least, the golf team maintaining a 7th place finish in some tournament somewhere. Not gonna lie you guys, I didn't read up on that last one (like you couldn't tell that anyways)
