Diamond Dogs picked to host regional by Baseball America, Perfect Game

Will this be the year that State hosts a regional? - Melina Vastola-US PRESSWIRE

After all the preseason rankings come the initial "field of 64" projections, and both of the ones so far look good for Mississippi State.

Baseball America released their projections yesterday, and had MSU as the #8 national overall seed, and hosting a regional in Starkville. Although Perfect Game's projections didn't have State as a national seed, they did have the Bulldogs hosting a regional, which I think all State fans are greatly hoping for this season.

MSU has not hosted a first round regional at Dudy Noble since 2003.
