With signing day fast approaching, Mississippi State has the majority of its small 2014 recruiting class already locked up. Still, the Bulldogs do have a few final spots to fill, and that effort begins this weekend with the first big visit weekend after the dead period has ended. Set to visit Starkville this weekend are the following:

- Jordan Sims | Homewood, AL | OG | 6'4", 345 lbs | 3*
- Darrion Hutcherson | Copiah-Lincoln CC | TE | 6'7", 260 lbs | 3*
- Chris Rayford | Byhalia, MS | CB | 6'1", 200 lbs | 3*
- Dontavian Lee | Brooklyn, MS | RB | 6'1", 210 lbs | 3*
- Lashard Durr | Gulfport, MS | CB | 5'11", 180 lbs | 3*
- Sean Rawlings | Madison, MS | OT | 6'5", 285 lbs | 3*
- Brandon Bryant | Tunica, MS | S | 6'0", 195 lbs | 3*
- Logan Cooke | Columbia, MS | K/P | 6'5", 200 lbs | 3*
- Gerri Green | Greenville, MS | ATH | 6'5", 230 lbs | 4*
- Aeris Williams | West Point, MS | RB | 6'1", 205 lbs | 4*
- Jamoral Graham | Decatur, MS | ATH | 5'11", 180 lbs | 4*
- Jesse Jackson | Petal, MS | WR | 6'2", 195 lbs | 4*
Overall, this is an impressive first weekend of visitors, and a list that makes up a large portion of MSU's commits so far. The group features some big remaining targets for State such as Harris and Hutcherson, and well as a few of the biggest names already in the class like Aeris Williams, Gerri Green, Jamoral Graham, and Jesse Jackson. Every player committed and visiting this weekend would fill a need for MSU, so it's important that MSU hold onto all of them for these final few weeks leading up to NSD.
As always, it's a great idea to follow guys like John Farley, Robbie Faulk, Paul Jones, and others this weekend as they do a great job of bringing you any updates, commitments or changes that can occur on these official visits.
Oh, and as always, it's important to remember that these are 17-19 year olds, so things can change at any time. Other people show up, some don't show up, etc. Recruiting is a wild business, and the next few weeks could again prove that to be true.
