Maroon Weather Forecast: Mississippi State vs. Kentucky.

Great weather in store for the Bulldogs as they take on the Kentucky Wildcats!

Andy Lyons

Fire up those grills, start ringing those cowbells and get those tents set up early because Saturday is going to be a great day for football. High pressure is in control and great weather is ahead for Dak Prescott and the Mississippi State Bulldogs as they take on Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats.

Make sure to bring your maroon hoodies early on, because temps will be in the upper 40s as tailgates are starting to go up early Saturday morning. Do not worry about your shoes getting wet from the dew at the SEC Nation set because we will be having a dry morning. It will get a little bit warmer as the morning progresses, and it should get to 60° at the Dawg Walk around 1:30 PM Eastern/12:30 Central. Just as a reminder for those traveling to the Commonwealth from the Magnolia State, Lexington runs one hour ahead of Starkville as it is on Eastern Standard Time.

Kickoff is at 3:30 PM and that’s when we’ll see our warmest time of the day at 69 degrees. The sun will be moving from the north to the west, so watch out for the sun’s glare if you get seats on that side of Commonwealth Stadium. Bulldog fans with fair and pale skin may want to bring a small tube of sunscreen to reapply so you don’t get sunburned; I learned my lesson at the Texas A&M game. Throughout the game, temperatures will go down to the upper 50s and we’ll have a nice breeze coming in from the west side of the stadium and we’ll see a beautiful maroon sunset.

We may see a few clouds in the second half but for most of the day, the skies will be as blue as the Wildcats on Saturday, but the Bulldogs will always be True Maroon.
