MSU vs Missouri Baseball: Diamond Dogs take game one in extras

Justin and I are both out of pocket this weekend, so we'll probably be taking a page from Red Cup Rebellion this weekend and just doing brief game recaps with a full weekend review on Monday.

Speaking of game recaps... Last night was another less-than-stellar offensive performance for MSU, but the Bulldogs were able to mount some late-game heroics to pull out a game one victory over Missouri, 3-2, in 11 innings.

The story of the game was the MSU pitching performance, as Trevor Fitts, Jacob Lindgren, and Jonathan Holder combined to hold Mizzou to two runs on seven hits over eleven innings. Lindgren was especially masterful, save for his final inning of work.

The Bulldogs and Tigers will square off again today in game two with first pitch set for 2 p.m.
