Ever since the rumors began last week, Mississippi State fans have been bracing for life without Evan Sobiesk next fall. Now, it seems that rumor has become official as MSU announced yesterday afternoon that Evan Sobiesk has left the team to begin dental school and pursue a career as a dentist. He will be the Bulldogs kicker no molar.
As have others have said, confirmed kicker Evan Sobiesk is no longer playing football. Getting ready for dental school.

Sobiesk made 12 of his 14 field goals in 2014 as the teeth of the Bulldog kicking game, providing the crowning piece of a stabilized kicking game that was once the root of many Bulldog fan's concerns. The cavity he leaves at the PK position could get a filling from either rising sophomore Logan Cooke or someone else outside the program currently. It's not clear this early how Dan Mullen will choose to restore his kicking game's enamel, but one thing's for certain: this is no laughing gas matter heading into spring practice.
