For the first time in eleven years, the Mississippi State women's basketball team has climbed into the top-15 in the AP Poll after wins over No. 19 Georgia (64-56) and Missouri (53-47) pushed the undefeated Bulldogs (17-0, 2-0) to No. 14.

The Bulldogs held the No. 13 ranking in the final poll of the 2002-2003 season.

Mississippi State has SEC company in the top-25 with No. 1 South Carolina, No. 7 Tennessee, No. 9 Texas A&M, No. 10 Kentucky and No. 20 Georgia all being ranked.

In addition to earning the top-15 ranking, the Bulldogs picked up NCAA Team of the Week honors for their efforts in opening SEC play.

The Bulldogs last accomplished a 2-0 SEC start in 2009-2010, and the 17-0 start to the season is the best start in program history.

Mississippi State returns to action Thursday, hosting Arkansas in an 8pm tip that can be seen on Fox Sports Net.
