The Mississippi State Bulldogs are taking on the Troy Trojans at Davis Wade on Saturday afternoon. The weather is going to be nice, but fans are going to have to get through some rain prior to the game.
The rush on Friday will be a wet one in the Junction. There is a chance of thunderstorms moving through Starkville Friday afternoon. If you or anyone you know is out there, make sure to put up your tent quickly and stake it down. Also, it is not advised to put the tarps on the rooves of the tents until Saturday. There will be periods of heavy downpours and some strong wind gusts outside Davis Wade Stadium through 8 PM Friday.
After the storms push out of Mississippi, it will feel cooler and drier for tailgates Saturday. The sun will be out and shining with a temperature in the low 60s in the morning. Temperatures will rise into the low 70s for the Dawg Walk at 1 PM.
Kickoff will be sunny and in the mid-70s for Dak Prescott and company throughout the first half. Winds will be light and coming from the north end zone. They shouldn't play into the Bulldogs' passing or kicking game. Weather will be similar for the 2nd half with temperatures hovering around 70 and sliding as the sun begins to set.
The weather will be great for the game and will hopefully help the Bulldogs wrap this one in Maroon and White!
