Morning Linkage, etc.
Howland telling it like it is - Watching Howland talk about Monday night's game was oddly reassuring. He didn't sugarcoat anything or avoid the obvious deficiencies with the team's performance. I don't envy the work he's got ahead of him to try to correct the myriad problems that developed over the past three years. Godspeed, Howland, godspeed.
Mullen and Diaz preview Arkansas - Mullen and Diaz spoke about Arkansas earlier in the week. Neither did too much looking back at the Alabama game—which is fine by me—and instead focused on how to handle a surging Razorback squads that has over the course of the season become one of the nation's offensive teams. (Top 10 nationally in both S&P+ and FEI offensive rankings. Diaz has taken notice, as he mentioned in passing some of Arkansas' crazy advanced stats metrics.)

How many times can people write this article? - If any of y'all have some time and want to google around for all the different versions of the "Mullen has reached his ceiling at MSU" narrative that are out there, I'll give you a cookie.
Puerto Rico Tip-Off starts tomorrow - State's basketball team better improve in a hurry, 'cause things are about to get quite a bit more difficult. Here's the bracket for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, complete with game times and broadcast information:
Film Noir on a Wednesday Morning
Not going to get on any fanboy soap boxes here, but The Third Man is amazing. I'll leave it at that. (Sorry about the auto subtitles.)
