Community Projections: Mississippi State Bulldogs at Arkansas Razorbacks

How will Mississippi State rebound from a tough loss to Alabama? Will the Bulldogs be ready for Arkansas, or will the Razorback pick up the win Saturday?

Spruce Derden-USA TODAY Sports

Mississippi State suffered an ugly loss last weekend.  There is no way to sugarcoat that one.  Now the Bulldogs must shake that loss off as they face a solid Arkansas squad in Fayetteville.  The Razorbacks have looked good as of late, and could pose a major challenge to the Bulldogs.

Best Case Scenario: The offensive line does not allow nine sacks, giving Prescott time to run and throw.  Dak ends up going for 350 and four touchdowns, and the Bulldogs pick up a comfortable, if close, 31-21 win.  The Razorbacks get stymied late when Richie Brown forces a fumble with the Bulldogs up 24-21 late in the game.

Worst Case Scenario: Mississippi State's offensive line struggles, and the Razorbacks live in the Bulldogs' backfield.  Prescott is harassed into a couple of interceptions, and eventually, the defense gets tired, allowing Brandon Allen and Alex Collins to turn in solid performances and Arkansas wins 38-20.

Bold Prediction: Mississippi State finishes the game with two 100-yard receivers.  Bear Wilson returns from injury and makes a few big plays.  Fred Ross just plugs away the whole game.  Each get a TD, and Dak runs for two more.
