Maroon Weather Forecast: Ole Miss

A great day for football and the rain will stay away for the game!

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Ah! Rivalry Saturday against Ole Miss...The School Up North! A great day for tailgating as people celebrate their favorite sport and debate who is going to be victorious in the Battle for the Golden Egg.

The morning and afternoon will be nice with a breeze coming out of the south. High temperature for the afternoon will happen around the Dawg Walk and it will be around 73°.

Kickoff will be around 69° as the sun will have just set. Temps will go down into the low 60s by the end of the game. Clouds will be building in from the west and will make it a not so starry night.

A cold front is going to be pushing through Starkville Saturday night and will bring a lot of moisture from the south and west. Luckily, the front will be stalling a bit and will start to rain after 11 PM. If it does rain at the Egg Bowl, it will be toward the very end of the game and will be a light drizzle. Make sure to grab your tailgates after the Egg Bowl... if you leave them overnight in the Junction, they'll be damp and soggy!

Overall, there will be great weather for an intense matchup of two ranked teams...sounds like an awesome way to cap Thanksgiving weekend to me!
