Mississippi State (12-13, 5-7) plays host to Ole Miss (17-8, 8-4) in a rematch of this season's earlier Rebels' 79-73 victory in Oxford.

The Bulldogs enter the contest off of a victory of Missouri last weekend in Columbia. In that contest, the Bulldogs raced out to a 17-point lead, only to see that lead evaporate into a Missouri lead.  Mississippi State rallied back ahead to take the lead and the contest 77-74.

Ole Miss had its six-game winning streak snapped in their last outing, a 71-70 loss to Arkansas.

The last time the Bulldogs and Rebels met, Mississippi State ran out to a 13-point lead, but the Rebels battled back to win the game 79-73.  In that game, Craig Sword picked up 27 points.

All time, Mississippi State holds a 141-110 series advantage. The Bulldogs have won 15 of the last 16 Starkville meetings between the two teams and 23 out of the last 34 overall.
