Now that the snow is wrapped up in (maroon and) white, we can focus on something that all Bulldog fans love in the Springtime: Baseball!
As the Bulldogs take on the Arizona Wildcats at 4 PM on Friday, expect partly sunny skies and temperatures around the upper 30s at first pitch. Temperatures ahould slide down into the lower 30s by the time that the game's wrapped up, but a strong north wind at 10 mph can make things feel a little colder and it could affect the fly balls in the outfield.
It warms up for Saturday's doubleheader! The Dawgs take on Arizona again at 11 AM followed by Samford, 35 minutes after the conclusion of the Arizona game (around 2:30 PM). It will be a nice change in Starkvegas as temperatures will be rising to the lower 50s. The sun won't be out that long in the afternoon, as rain moves into the Golden Triangle, but it should arrive after the doubleheader is finished. That pesky wind is a little lighter for Saturday's games, but can still cause a little bit of an issue come game time.
Sunday may not be the best day for baseball. That rain will become heavy on Sunday and there is potential for a thunderstorm. The high temperature should be in the upper 50s come game time so it'll feel really nice, but the diamond at the Dude will definitely be muddy.
