Scott Stricklin tweeted this today, announcing that men's basketball coach Rick Ray has been fired.

It had been speculated that Ray's job might be in jeopardy after the Bulldogs limped to a 13-19 record in his third season as the head basketball coach at Mississippi State that ended with a 74-68 loss to Auburn in the SEC Tournament on March 11th.

Ray, who was hired in 2012 from Clemson where he was an assistant coach, amassed a record of 37-60 in three years with the program.
