MSU Baseball: Updated Rankings

After a rough week where State went 1-3 against Arkansas Pine-Bluff and San Diego, the Diamond Dogs took a dip in the polls.

Across the three major polls that we drew from, State was ranked 17th on average. Here's the top 10 for each ranking and where State stands on the list:

USA Today Coaches Poll:

1. Virginia 12-1

2. TCU 10-2

3. Florida 14-2

4. LSU 15-1

5. Vanderbilt 11-4

6. Oregon 13-2

7. Texas A&M 16-0

8.South Carolina 12-3

9. UCLA 11-4

10. UCF 14-2

13. Mississippi State 14-3 (previously 7th)

D1 Baseball:

As you can tell, the SEC is going to be an absolute meat grinder when conference games begin in the next few weeks. Literally half of the consensus national top 10 is occupied by SEC teams. Though, past the top 10, no SEC teams can be found with the exception of MSU. Hopefully, this week the Dawgs can rebound and give the SEC 6 out of the top 10 spots.
