At 8 A.M. CT this morning 3rd seeded MSU tee'd off on their third straight NCAA regional appearance. The tournament is taking place in Raleigh, NC at Poole Golf Course.

The Bulldogs share the bracket with #1 South Carolina, #2 LSU, #4 Northwestern, #5 Florida, and #8 Alabama among others. The team is packed with veterans like senior team leader Ally McDonald, who is currently the 6th ranked amateur in the world. MSU had a landmark season in 2015, finishing in the top 10 of every tournament during the regular season.

Head coach Ginger Brown-Lemm said of the tournament "I am excited to go to North Carolina... The weather is more consistent there, better than some of the other locations. More importantly though, the grass is similar to what we have here in Mississippi, where as some of the other sites have grass that is completely different than what we are used to. We hope to use this at our advantage."

The tournament lasts through Saturday May 9th and you can keep up with the live results at golfstat.com.
