Mississippi State fans will be able to watch at least three of the Bulldogs contests on the ESPN family of networks as the Southeastern Conference announced 32 broadcasts Thursday.
The most exciting on the list may be Mississippi State hosting LSU in the Bulldogs' home opener on September 12. That game has been set for an 8:15pm kickoff on ESPN.
In news that was not much of a shocker, ESPN announced that the Bulldogs' matchup with Missouri, already set for a Thursday, would air on ESPN's College Football Primetime Thursday with an 8pm kickoff on November 5.
In news that many fans will find disappointing, the Bulldogs will face the Northwestern State Demons in a game set for a 3pm kickoff on September 19. Fans may recall the miserable conditions of the UAB contest last year. For a game that will not feature much in the way of a contest, one has to wonder how many fans will choose to sit what will probably be near-90 degree temperatures to watch something that is nothing more (at least we hope) than a glorified scrimmage.
Other game times and network designations will be determined throughout the season by the SEC.
Earlier this year, the Bulldogs' opening contest against Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg was announced as a 9pm kickoff to be aired on Fox Sports 1.
