Many people have mentioned Mississippi State's De'Runnya Wilson as one of the top wide receivers in the SEC, and he has been mentioned as someone who could break out into being one of the top wide receivers in college football. Ole Miss's Laquon Treadwell has been recognized for a while as a talented wide receiver. Neither found their way onto the Biletnikoff Award Watch List Wednesday.
With a watch list including nearly fifty players, it is hard to believe that the Magnolia State would be shut out from the list. Also surprisingly left off the list, Auburn's Duke Williams.
I'm not sure what was going on in Tallahassee when the watch list was put together, but three of the top receivers in the SEC being left off will leave some folks scratching their heads.
Don't be surprised if one, two, or three of these players make the semifinalist stage when it is announced on November 16.
