Most call Dak Prescott the best quarterback in the SEC, and he has another award to back that claim as the Mississippi State senior signal caller picked up first team SEC Media Days Preseason All-SEC. Prescott has company on the list with three other Bulldogs being named to the second team.
On the offensive side of the ball, wide receiver De'Runnya Wilson picked up second team honors. The junior from Birmingham, Alabama, finished fourth in the SEC with nine touchdown receptions. In all, he had 47 receptions for 680 yards. Wilson may have played his best against top opponents, scoring six touchdowns and averaging over ninety yards a game against six ranked foes.
On the defensive side of the ball, Chris Jones and Will Redmond earned second team honors. Jones, who is also on the Outland Trophy Watchlist, had 26 tackles, with 3.5 of them for a loss, in 2014. Redmond picked up 51 tackles in 2014. Three of those were for a loss, and he also had three interceptions.
