With a victory in the Women's World Cup final Sunday, the United States Women's National Team will become the all-time winningest side in the event, and soccer fans from the Golden Triangle and beyond will have the opportunity  to watch the United States take on the defending champion, Japan, for the championship with the Mississippi State soccer team at 6pm Sunday at Buffalo Wild Wings located on Highway 12 Starkville.

Mississippi State coach Adam Gordon and select players will be at the event participating in giveaways and drawings during the World Cup final. Fans will also have the opportunity to get autographs and take photos with the 2015 soccer squad for the first time.

The Bulldog soccer squad will start its season on August 15 in an exhibition match against Memphis at 7pm at the MSU Soccer Field.

A victory by the United States would give the team three Women's World Cup championships.  Currently, the United States and Germany lead the pack with two championships each.  A victory by Japan would give the squad its second championship.

The United States and Japan met in the final of the 2011 Women's World Cup.  The teams played to a 2-2 score, but Japan claimed the Cup by winning the penalty shootout 3-1.  The match will be the first championship to feature a rematch of the previous championship.
