Redshirt freshman quarterback Nick Tiano announced today that he intends to transfer away from Mississippi State. This comes after Damian Williams announced right before the Egg Bowl that he intended to transfer away from MSU.

With Tiano’s transfer, all three of the quarterbacks that were part of the quarterback battle and lost have now transferred away from the program. Elijah Staley back in August (before the position battle was even publicly finished), Damian Williams on Saturday, and Tiano today.
This leaves Mississippi State with Nick Fitzgerald (which is great because he’s developing into a phenomenal quarterback) and Wyatt Roberts at quarterback. Keytaon Thompson, a 4-star dual threat quarterback out of New Orleans, is currently committed to the Bulldogs and is set to join the class of 2017 for MSU.
Good luck with wherever you end up next, Nick. Hopefully you’re able to start and succeed (as long as it isn’t against MSU) with whatever team you end up with next.
