What to Watch For
Mississippi State’s Cameron Dantzler vs Tennessee’s Jauan Jennings
Physicality, length, speed, and athleticism will be on display in this intriguing matchup. With Dantzler at 6-foot-2 and Jennings at 6-foot-3, both will be eye to eye, fighting for every ball. While Dantzler prides himself on locking down the sideline, Jennings is a formidable deep threat.
As both are sky walkers, expect a dogfight in the air. If able to neutralize Jennings, the Bulldogs will walk out of Neyland Stadium with a win. Off 26 receptions, Jennings has posted 395 yards and five touchdowns. That said, look for Dantzler to get the best of Jennings and hold him to under 100 yards.
Kylin Hill on the ground
Already with 596 rushing yards and five touchdowns off 108 attempts, Hill has been the face of the Bulldogs offense. Against a suspect defense, Hill will make an immediate impact. Coach Joe Moorhead has full faith in Hill, as the 5-foot-11, 215 pound junior back is sure to have his way.
While he is powerful in the backfield, Hill’s patience is deceptive. If Mississippi State’s offensive line is on point, Hill may have his best game of the year. If this is the case, look for the Bulldogs to get back on track.
Prediction
Mississippi State gets past Tennessee 28-21
