Be it in a losing effort, junior defensive end Marquiss Spencer shined against Texas A&M.
Third on the team in tackles, Spencer posted six, all solo. With 22 on the year, Spencer has come into his own. At 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, Spencer is agile and quick on the edge. He should be a major factor in Arkansas.
Though in the midst of a subpar season, Spencer’s emergence is a bright spot and good look for the future. As the Razorbacks are in dire straights themselves, Spencer may just have his best outing.
Defensively, the Bulldogs have been themselves upfront. The question is whether or not Spencer can capitalize on an opportunity to further make his name in Fayetteville. Based on last week’s performance, Spencer could lead the team in tackles and even post a sack or two.
