While she only spent one season in Starkville, Howard shined in her Mississippi State tenure. As a Bulldog, Howard averaged 16.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. The Storm are sure to improve with her on the roster, as Howard is a quick learner and student of the game. Under coach Vic Schaefer, Howard also excelled as a defender, having recorded 40 steals and 18 blocks.

She is a versatile forward who is fit for today’s game. Her energy was contagious all season, as Howard emerged as a leader. Look for her, like McCowan in Indiana to start immediately.

As she started all 36 games, Howard’s season highs included 40 minutes, 30 points, and 16 rebounds. Expect the Storm to remain atop the standings and make another run with the addition of Howard. It should be an entertaining season and Howard will make her name early on.

Hail State!
