Four Bulldogs sign UDFA deals

While they may not have taken the draft day stage, each of these four will have a chance to add their name to an NFL roster.

NCAA Football: Arkansas at Mississippi State Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

Though it is always nice to be drafted, being an undrafted free agent is not the worst thing in the world. As a matter of fact, some of the NFL’s best have gone undrafted. Moreover, names like Kurt Warner, Warren Moon, Tony Romo, Rod Smith, Antonio Gates, John Randle, James Harrison, and Chris Harris Jr. come to mind. However, earning a roster spot is much more difficult, as Mississippi State’s quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, corner Jamal Peters, defensive tackle Braxton Hoyett, and offensive lineman Deion Calhoun will have their work cut out for them.

See signings below:

Fitzgerald - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Peters - Indianapolis Colts

Hoyett - Tennessee Titans

Calhoun - Miami Dolphins

Hail State!
