Mississippi State cornerback Cameron Dantzler has been selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 89th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Dantzler, who forewent his senior season, had five interceptions and 20 passes defended in his three-year Mississippi State career. He also allowed just 36 catches on 568 coverage snaps while starting in 22 of the 35 games he played in.
As a junior, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect tallied 40 tackles, including 31 solo tackles. The Hammond, Louisiana native earned an 83.4 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, which tied for fourth in the Southeastern Conference among cornerbacks. Dantzler also allowed a passer rating of just 57.0, which also ranked fourth in the league among cornerbacks. He earned second-team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press for his efforts.
