Mississippi State safety Brian Cole II was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 249th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Cole II, a Saginaw, Michigan native, played his final two years of eligibility at MSU where he recorded 78 total tackles, including 10.5 for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
He served as a team captain during his redshirt senior season where he started all 12 games and played at STAR. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect was second on the team in tackles (65) and in tackles for loss with (7.5). Cole II also led MSU defensive backs in sacks with two and made one interception.
