Player to Watch

Myah Taylor

If there was one bright spot in Thursday’s loss to Alabama, it was Taylor’s return to form as a scorer. Taylor posted a season-high 15 points against the Crimson Tide. She will have to post at least 10 in order for the Bulldogs to upset the Aggies.

Taylor shined at home last year, as Mississippi State cambe back to beat Texas A&M. She recorded 16 points. Coach Nikki McCray-Penson will have to rely on her in big moments.

In addition to scoring, Taylor’s defense will play a huge role in today’s game. She will be matched up against Aaliyah Willson, an experienced guard who can score from anywhere and is averaging 14.5 points per game. If able to keep Wilson in check, the Bulldogs have a shot to play spoiler.

As Taylor boasts the perfect combination of talent and experience, look for the ball to be in her hands late. The game will be close and should be decided by either Taylor or Wilson’s play.

Prediction

Mississippi State upsets Texas A&M 76-72
