Mississippi State Football: Which NFL landing spot is best for Erroll Thompson?

Syndication: Montgomery Mickey Welsh, Montgomery Advertiser via Imagn Content Services, LLC

As the Raiders are in the midst of a defensive rebuild, Erroll Thompson leaving Stark Vegas for Las Vegas is the perfect scenario.

The Raiders need leadership on defense. Thompson can not only lead, but do so while galvanizing his teammates. He is a vocal presence whose energy is contagious.

On the field, Thompson is versatile and imposing. As a linebacker is the quarterback of the defense, Thompson embraces the role. He is a hard hitter with a versatile skill set. Further, he can be a factor in both the running and passing game.

As a Bulldog, Thompson posted 313 total tackles. He added three interceptions and two forced fumbles. If drafted by Las Vegas, look for Thompson to start immediately. He is beyond his years and a student of the game. The Raiders are in dire need of a defensive identity, and Thompson fits the bill.

Hail State!
