OMAHA, Neb. — After beating No. 2 overall seed Texas in walk-off fashion on Saturday, No. 7 Mississippi State is taking on Southeastern Conference foe No. 4 Vanderbilt in a best-of-three series beginning Monday at 6 p.m. CT at TD Ameritrade Park for the College World Series title.
The Bulldogs (48-17) returned to Omaha for the third season in a row but are seeking their first national championship, while the Commodores (48-16) are looking for their second consecutive title and third since 2014.
Vanderbilt took two out of three games from MSU in the regular season, but the Bulldogs lead the all-time series 72-53-2.
