Dak run play in paradise

Bob Carskadon tells us that Dan Mullen is a big Jimmy Buffett fan. Therefore, here's a Mullen-version of "Cheeseburger in paradise"

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Tried to amend my QB-run heavy habits.
Made it nearly seventeen plays,
run reverses with speed, overthrowin' misdeeds,
Callin' lots of slant plays and option-less reads.

But at night I'd have these wonderful dreams
Some kind of ground game treat.
Not handoff plays, go routes, or RB screens,
But a 56 yard QB run with no Tigers left to beat.

That's my / Dak run play in paradise.
Little bit of option on a goal line try
Mix in some Fred Ross or an RB fly
But I'd / rather run 15 with the D spread out wide

Heard about the old time coaching philos'phy,
They'd call the same thing again and again;
Under center power I's, toss plays with a reprise.
Well, it reminds me of a Vandy team that went 2-10.

But times have changed for coaches these days.
When we line up we use gaps and speed;
Not just counter, FB dive, or end speed sweep
But that Louisiana creation on which I feed!

That's my / Dak run play in paradise.
Little bit of option on a goal line try
Mix in some Fred Ross or an RB fly
But I'd / rather run 15 with the D spread out wide

I like mine with split safety's and wide stances
D's spread wide / I really like my chances
Wideouts are sprinting like we might pass here
Well, good god Almighty got open field for years

For my / Dak run play in paradise.
Little bit of option on a goal line try
Mix in some Fred Ross or an RB fly
But I'd / rather run 15 with the D spread out wide
