Happy Friday! Here's Jimmy Carter in an MSU cowboy hat

The 39th President of the United States visited MSU's campus during his time in office, and even donned this awesome hat!

No, there is no point to this post. There's no "story behind the picture" coming after this, no longread for you to enjoy. I just happened to see this picture of Jimmy C. in the MSU Library's Digital Archives, and thought it was fantastic.

James Earl Carter, who served as our 39th POTUS from 1977-1981, visited Mississippi State during his time in office, and took time out of his busy day to sport this outstanding hat. The description on the picture in the archives does not give a specific date as to when President Carter visited. If any of our readers know, I'd love to hear more.

Also, the glasses that the guy in the photo is sporting are fantastic.

Happy Friday everyone, and Hail State.
