Texas A&M opens as a 2.5 point favorite over Mississippi State this afternoon, according to BetOnline.
The Aggies are coming off of a huge 63-21 SEC road win over Auburn, while Mississippi State is looking to bounce back from a 38-7 loss to Alabama last night.
Honesty, this is about on par with what I expected the line to be at the opening. Mississippi State, despite being the home team, is now the lower ranked team of the two, and Texas A&M is coming off of a huge road win. This game could move closer to a push by week's end, but I would expect it to stay near where it is, if not move slightly higher before Saturday. MSU has more to prove in the eyes of bettors at this point.
The Bulldogs and Aggies will kick off Saturday's Snow Bowl rematch at 11 a.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
[UPDATE - 10.29.2012, 4:00p.m.]
After just over 24 hours of going live, the line for this game has already moved to 6.5 on BetOnline. Kudos to Sasquatch Love for catching that some books already had it at 7 early this morning.
