Mississippi State (3-3) has opened as a 10 point favorite over the visiting Kentucky Wildcats (1-5), according to the sports betting website BetOnline.com.
This line is about as could be expected, as the Bulldogs are the clear favorite in this matchup. Kentucky, like MSU, comes into Thursday night's contest off of a bye, but before that the Wildcats had been in the midst of a brutal portion of their schedule. After a second game win over Miami of Ohio, the Wildcats have lost four straight games to the likes of Louisville (#7), Florida (#20), South Carolina (#13), and Alabama (#1). UK's schedule does ease up a bit, in relative terms, but they do still have MSU, Missouri, Georgia, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt on the schedule to finish out the season.
The Bulldogs and Wildcats will square off at 6:30 Thursday night, October 24, on ESPN.
