Making an All-SEC list in football has become a pretty challenging thing to do. Several great players are left off each year. Which Bulldog players are the most likely to earn such honors this year?
Gabe Jackson (1st), McKinney (2nd), Whitley (2nd), Perkins (3rd), and Autry (3rd). Sleepers for all-SEC: Dillon Day and Matt Wells. -Metal Building Dawg
I think the best candidates for that are LaDarius Perkins, Jameon Lewis (returns), Gabe Jackson, and maybe Bernardrick. I wouldn't be shocked to see someone off of the defensive line steal a second or third team spot, but I think that'll be it. That's not a knock on Tyler Russell either, it's just a testament to how deep the SEC is at the quarterback position this year. --thecristilmethod
Mississippi State has several players who could walk away on such lists, but they will have to beat out crowded fields to do so. There are two slam dunks: Gabe Jackson and LaDarius Perkins. I think McKinney is nearly a lock for a team as well. Someone from the defensive line should be able to step in and win an award, maybe Denico Autry. For some reason, I feel Preston Smith could be a break out type player. I'd also watch Nickoe Whitley.
Mississippi State also has several talented freshman, so do not be surprised if Chris Jones and De'Runnya Wilson make the All-Freshman team. ---justinrsutton

All-SEC players for Mississippi State in 2013 will be Bernardrick McKinney, Gabe Jackson, LaDarius Perkins, and Denico Autry. Chris Jones, Fred Ross, and De'Runnya Wilson will all have a chance at making the Freshman All-SEC Team. -War Machine Dawg
